What is the difference between lvl and classic lash extensions or russian volume?

Lvl is priced between £45-55 and is a process where we curl your natural lashes  - this will make them appear longer. However with lash extensions (classic or volume) priced £65-100 we can add more length and fullness to your lashes. Classic lashes is where we apply one single thicker lash extension to each of your adult lashes. Russian volume is where we apply multiple thinner lashes to each of your adult lashes. LVL lasts for 6 weeks and requires no maintenance. You can also wear mascara, sleep on your lashes and rub them. With lash extensions (classic or volume) you cannot wear mascara, sleep on them or rub them. If you want to have them looking their best you need to come for infills every 2-3 weeks.

Do I need to get a patch test. (even if I have or haven’t had it before)

Yes all clients that have not had lvl at our salon must have a patch test. Different salons use different products and you could still have a reaction and would not be covered by our insurance. Please note you need to come for a patch test atleast 24 hours before your treatment. It is important to note we are closed on Fridays and some Saturdays so we will not be able to do a patch test on those days.

What's the difference between a natural, glamour and dramatic russian volume set?"

Accepted Answer

A natural set is very natural, we will put 2-3 lashes on each one of your adult lashes. Pick this if you want a natural set and no one to necessarily know you have lash extensions.
 
A glamour set - (This is still natural) but we put on 3-4 even thinner lashes on top of your adult lashes. Pick this if you want something a little more glamorous or you have sparse lashes and would like to fill them out.
 
A dramatic set - This is where we apply 6+ even thinner lashes onto your natural lashes. Pick this set if you want as full lashes as possible or a very glamorous look (please note it is unlikely you can have this all the time - for special occasions only!)

Question 7

How long does it last and is it a permanent treatment?

Accepted Answer

LVL keeps your lashes lengthened, volumized and lifted for 6-8 weeks. Although this is not a permanent treatment, once the treatment has been done it doesn’t require any maintenance unlike lash extensions.

What's the difference between russian volume and cluster lashes?

Cluster lashes are pre made lash fans that are thick and cannot be applied to a single lash (they are too heavy for your natural lashes to carry without damage!) russian volume is hand made fans that use thinner lashes and can be applied to a single natural lash (this ensures no damage!)

Can I wear mascara and other eye makeup?

The great thing about LVL is that you can wear any kind of eye makeup you like, even oil based products. It will not affect the the results or longevity of the treatment at all.

If you are unsure what to book, I would recommend starting with a russian volume natural set - this looks fantastic on everyone and is a great place to start, if you want something more dramatic you can always upgrade your infills from natural infills to glamour infills. It is also fantastic as if your natural lashes are short or sparse this will be the best set for them (as it will not overload them).

How do you do the treatment?

First we do a consultation to answer any questions you may have. Then you lay down on one of our comfy lash beds. We then apply some eye patches to your bottom lashes (this ensures we do not curl them!) you then close your eyes and we stick some silicone shields to you eyelids, we the stick your lashes back to the silicone sheilds and apply 3 different lotions that will make them stay at that lovely curled back position.

I had my lashes applied somewhere else can I get an infill from you?

Sadly not. We cannot ensure other lash salons have applied work to our high standards. We would not want to add to anything done previously that may need to be removed or is damaging your lashes.

How long will the lashes last?

Accepted Answer

Lash extensions last around 6 - 8 weeks. However your natural lashes are always growing and shedding with new ones coming in their place (we call this the lash cycle). Because of your natural lashes shedding (with the extensions attached) you will start to notice gaps at around 2 and a half weeks. If you want to keep them looking their best, we recommend infills every 2-3 weeks.

I don’t have many lashes/short lashes can I still get lvl?

Ofcourse you can! However it is worth noting that we can only curl the natural lashes you have, plenty of our clients have short lashes and love the look they achieve. However if you have short or sparse lashes and your are dreaming of long thick and full lashes you may be better suited to a russian volume classic or glamour set of lash extensions.

How often should I get them infilled?

Accepted Answer

It is up to you, we offer 2 week, 3 week and 4 week infills to fit with your schedule. They are varied in length (from 50 to 90mins and they increase in price in accordance with time.) They should take place the amount of time after your full set. (for example a 3 week infill should happen 3 weeks after your full set). One thing to consider is after 3 weeks you will start to notice gaps in your lashes where the new lashes have grown through and do not have an extensions on them. Anything over 4 weeks is a new full set. Please note we are normally always booked at least 2 weeks in advance so if you think you want an appointment in time for a special occasion - book in advance do not leave it to the week before.

Will it hurt?

No the treatment will not hurt at all. The lashes are very light and you will not feel them. We also apply lashes to the highest of standards so none of your natural lashes will be stuck together or itchy. Most people fall asleep during the treatment as we have a very peaceful salon and incredibly comfortable beds.

Unlike the saying ‘beauty is pain’ LVL is completely pain free. Most clients have a little snooze when they are getting the treatment done and they don’t feel a thing.

Will it damage my own lashes?

No. We are very strict here and will not apply lashes on that are too long or heavy for your natural lashes to carry. This makes sure there is no damage caused. We have clients that have been coming to us for over 4 years continuously, this is because we take the utmost care to ensure their lashes are not damaged in any way. Rebecca, the salon owner, has been having lash extensions for over 8 years without a break and her natural lashes are still in tip top condition!

I wear contact lenses, can I get lvl?"

You can absolutely get LVL even if you wear contact lenses. LVL is a great option for contact lense wearers because with this treatment you won’t feel the need to wear mascara and your eyes will look awake every day while the treatment lasts. While we do the treatment we recommend removing your lenses as your eyes will be closed for at least and hour.

Will my natural lashes be affected?

Accepted Answer

Your natural lashes will not be damaged or affected negatively. During the treatment your lashes will feel a little weird as they are being pulled back but this is temporary while the solution is applied. Your lashes are always growing and shedding as part of the natural lash cycle, so there are always new ones coming in to replace the old ones dropping out.  
 
The process of LVL is does not put any weight on your lashes and does not not cause your lashes to stick together. This ensures your lashes will grow exactly as they should do and remain in tip top healthy condition.
 
However it is important to keep up with aftercare if this is a treatment you want to continue having, aftercare is super simple we give you a mascara want and 3 times a week before bed we suggest dipping the mascra wand in some vaseline or coconut oil and brushing it through the lashes to condition them. This ensures the ends do not dry out and stay lovely!

I have lashes from another place can you just fill them in?

No we can't. I'm afraid we can't infill other lash salons work as we cannot guarentee it's be applied correctly or safely. All lashes must be clean and extension free when coming to the salon. If you have some lashes from a previous place please make sure you book a removal with your full set. *** Please do not attempt to remove them yourself at home*** There are many you tube videos that say you can remove your lash extensions with oil. This is not true, a proper remover is needed otherwise you will pull out your own natural lashes along with the extensions. If you arrive with lashes on from previous place time will have to be spent removing them which will cut into your precious lash time!

I have a special occasion coming up and would like fuller/longer/more dramatic infills and I don't know what to pick?

Accepted Answer

If you have a special occasion and would like fuller or more dramatic lashes there are a couple of options below.
 
1 - When you come for your previous appointment or appointment on the day have a chat with your lash artist and explain what you would like or the occasion and she can best advise!
 
2 - You could book a weeks longer lash infill - so if it has been 2 weeks since you've had you lashes done and you normally book a 2 week infill - book a 3 week infill, this gives you an extra 15 minutes worth of lashes that can give it that extra boost for a special occasion. You can increase fullness and length here.
 
3 - Ask for longer lashes - if it is a special occasion we don't mind increasing lash length and going a bit more dramatic than what your natural lashes can carry, if it's a one off it's fine and wont damage them permanently. However note this is a one off for special occassions, we don't want to overload your lashes regularly so we can keep them in tip top condition :)
 
4 - Book a different type of infill - If you have classic lashes you could book a glamour volume infill - this will create a hybrid set (which is a fancy word for a mix of classic and volume!) This can add some more fullness to your lashes. If you normally book natural infills book glamour infills. If you normally book glamour infills - book glamour infills again and tell your artist you want dramatic infills (we have taken dramatic infills off of our booking system as too many people were booking them for regular infills and their lashes couldn't carry them - this helps us avoid dissapointment and keep your lashes consistently healthy - however we can do them on special occasions!)

What are the best lashes to get for holiday?

It all depends what it is you are after - here are a list of the pro's and cons of each set so you can figure what will be right for your holiday.
 
Classic lashes - This is where we apply one thicker lash to each of your natural lashes. Were the lash extensions are a little bit thicker they are a little bit stronger incase you accidently fall asleep on them after a margerita or two. Cons - it is worth noting we can only add one lash to the lashes that you have where as in...
 
Naural Volume - we can add 2 - 3 thinner lashes ontop of your natural lashes. This results with you looking like you have 2/3 times more natural lashes (not thicker like classic) This is great if you have fine or sparse lashes as this can multiply them by 3! Cons - this may be too natural a look for you. And no sleeping on them at all. 
 
Glamour volume - like natural volume but we add 3 - 6 finer lashes to your natural lashes so you look like you have 4/5 times more natural lashes. Cons are if you are wearing lot's of eye make you will need to clean them regularly which may result in premature shedding. And no sleeping on them at all. 
 
LVL-  This is where we curl your natural lashes. This means you can still wear mascara and as much eye make up as you want. You can also sleep on them. Cons - we can only curl what natural lashes you have - we cannot add any or make them thicker. Please note if you do decide to have lvl you must come in for a patch test atleast 24 hours before.

When should I get my lashes done?

If you are flying longhaul it is best to get your lashes done atleast 48 hours before you fly. This is because the humidity on the planes can affect the curing of the eyelash glue. Otherwise in the week before your holiday will be fine!
